Hon. Mrs. Justice Nicola Ann Sharpe Phiri is the Judge-in-Charge of the High Court, Family and Children’s Division. She was appointed Judge of the High Court on 29th November, 2011. Justice Phiri holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia. She was admitted to the bar in 1992.
Prior to her current appointment, Justice Phiri served as Senior Partner at Sharpe & Howard, from 2001 to 2011. Justice Phiri served as Partner at Mopani Chambers from 1995 to 2001 and an Assistant Advocate at Chilupe & Company from 1991 to 1995.
Justice Phiri also served as an Arbitrator from 1998 to 2011 and a Court Annexed Mediator from 2000 to 2011. She served as a Commissioner of the Small Claims. Court. She is the current Chairperson of the Small Claims Court.
She is a member of the Zambia Association of Women Judges and the International Association of Women Judges.
